Helping people learn has been at the heart of my career.
I began my career in education, where I discovered that I enjoyed designing learning experiences just as much as delivering them. Whether I was designing classroom instruction, intervention plans, professional development, or support resources, I was always looking for better ways to make complex information easier to understand and apply.
Today, as an Enterprise Training Specialist with the Minnesota Department of Human Services, I combine that background with instructional design and adult learning principles to develop accessible training resources, support employee onboarding, and manage enterprise training and compliance initiatives.
I enjoy turning complicated information into clear, engaging learning experiences that are practical and easy to apply on the job. My combined experience across both education and state government has given me a unique perspective on designing learning that is learner-centered, accessible, and focused on improving performance. Whether I'm partnering with subject matter experts, developing new training resources, or improving existing ones, my goal is always the same: to help people be successful while supporting organiztional goals.
This portfolio showcases a variety of projects—from interactive eLearning and scenario-based training to job aids, design documents, storyboards, videos, and facilitator resources—that reflect both my instructional design skills and my commitment to creating high-quality learning experiences.
If you're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, values collaboration, pays attention to detail, and genuinely cares about helping people learn, I'd love to connect!
